Privacy Policy

We want to be clear about what information may be processed when you use PioMode, why, and how you can manage it.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the PioMode website, the Windows and macOS clients, the account system, model resources, the AI agent, memory and knowledge base, and related support and operations. Provider accounts, APIs, relay services, MCP, Skills, websites and other third-party tools that you actively connect may be separately governed by their own privacy policies.

"PioMode", "we" or "our" in this policy refers to the PioMode brand and its service operator.

2. Information we process

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account information: email, nickname, login credentials, verification codes and account security settings.
  • Transaction & resource information: top-ups, balance, orders, and token or network resource usage records. Payment information may be processed directly by the payment provider — we generally do not store full card details.
  • Task content: prompts, instructions and conversations you enter, files or web content you upload or select, code, task records, generated results, and anything you save to memory or your knowledge base.
  • Connection information: account identifiers, authorization tokens, session data or other credentials needed to establish and maintain a connection when you connect a provider account, API or third-party service.
  • Feedback: inquiries, issue descriptions, screenshots, logs and contact details you submit.

2.2 Information generated by using the service

  • Device & app information: device type, OS, client version, language, timezone and necessary device identifiers.
  • Network & security information: IP address, login time, connection status, anomaly records, and information used for anti-fraud and account/service security.
  • Usage & diagnostic information: feature access, model selection, resource consumption, error logs, performance data and crash reports.
  • Website information: browser type, pages visited, referring page, and information generated by cookies or similar technologies.

3. How we use information

We only process information when necessary to provide the service, with your consent, to fulfill a legal obligation, or where we have a legitimate interest permitted by applicable law, mainly to:

  • Create and maintain your account, verify identity and protect account security;
  • Carry out model calls, agent tasks, file processing, browser actions, code execution, memory and knowledge base features that you initiate;
  • Connect to the model providers, APIs, relay services, tools or provider accounts you choose;
  • Calculate resource usage, display prices, process transactions and provide order/balance records;
  • Sync data you have explicitly chosen to sync, and carry tasks across devices or sessions;
  • Diagnose issues, improve stability, prevent abuse and improve the product experience;
  • Respond to inquiries, send service notices, and — with necessary permission — send product information;
  • Comply with applicable law, regulatory requirements or valid legal process.

4. How local and cloud work together

PioMode combines local and cloud processing. Some file reading, project operations, code execution and tool calls can happen entirely within your device environment; account sync, model calls, cloud memory, knowledge base, or other online capabilities you enable may require transmitting information necessary to complete the task to PioMode's services or a third-party service you choose.

What gets uploaded or transmitted generally depends on the model, feature, connection method and task instructions you choose. Please confirm you have the right to process the relevant information before submitting it, and avoid sending highly sensitive information to a model or third-party service that isn't appropriate for it.

About AI contentWhen you use the model resources PioMode provides, the prompts, context and attachments necessary to complete a request may be sent to the corresponding model provider; when you use your own API, provider account or other service, that processing is also governed by that provider's rules.

5. Sharing & third-party services

We do not sell your personal information without disclosure and necessary authorization. To enable the features you choose, we may share information, within the necessary scope, with:

  • Model & infrastructure providers: for model inference, content generation, storage, network, compute and security;
  • Services you actively connect: including provider accounts, APIs, relay services, MCP, Skills, browser sites and other tools;
  • Transaction & operations providers: for payment, orders, notifications, customer support and service analytics;
  • Legal & security parties: where required by law, to protect user or public safety, investigate fraud, or maintain legal rights;
  • Business successors: if the service undergoes a merger, reorganization or asset transfer, we will take necessary measures as required by law and notify you.

Third parties should only process information for the agreed purpose and to the extent necessary. For third-party services you independently choose and connect to directly, that party is responsible for its own data practices — we recommend reading its terms and privacy policy before use.

6. Retention, security & cross-border transfers

6.1 Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service, ensure security, resolve disputes and fulfil legal obligations. Account information is generally retained for a reasonable period after account closure; task content, memory and knowledge base information are handled per your settings, deletion actions or the relevant feature's retention rules; security and transaction records may be retained longer as required by law.

6.2 Security

We take administrative, technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature and risk of the information to limit unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration or loss. However, no internet or software system can guarantee absolute security — please protect your password, verification codes, API keys and devices, and report suspicious activity promptly.

6.3 Cross-border transfers

PioMode serves users across regions, and the models, cloud services or tools you choose may be located in other countries or regions. As a result, information may be transferred to and stored outside your location. We apply reasonable contractual, technical or organizational safeguards as required by applicable law.

7. Your choices & rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to a copy of the personal information we hold;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Delete personal information or close your account;
  • Restrict or object to specific processing, or withdraw consent already given;
  • Request data portability where applicable;
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing or manage cookie preferences;
  • Lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

Where possible, use the account settings and memory/knowledge base management features in the client first; you can also submit a request through the "Help & Feedback" channel published on the PioMode website or client. We may need to verify your identity to protect your account. Some rights may be subject to legal exceptions and limitations.

8. Cookies, minors & policy updates

8.1 Cookies & similar technologies

The website may use essential cookies to maintain login, security and page functionality, and — with necessary permission — analytics technologies to understand usage and improve the experience. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling essential cookies may affect some functionality.

8.2 Minors

PioMode is not directed at children under the minimum age set by applicable law. Users below the local age of majority should use the service with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information without proper authorization, please contact us through the Help & Feedback channel.

8.3 Policy updates

We may update this policy in response to product or legal changes. Material changes will be announced via the website, client or other appropriate means. The updated policy applies from the effective date noted on the page.
