A: Based on pricing-tier tags (flagship / value / reasoning / multimodal) maintained on the backend — each use case is matched to a preferred tier, then the cheapest matching models are shown first. It's not just recommending the most expensive or newest model.
Q: Can I switch away from the recommended model?
A: Of course — these recommendations are just a starting point. Every model in your dashboard can be switched freely at any time based on real-world results and cost, no restrictions from this tool.
Q: Why show several models for the same use case?
A: Models in the same tier from different providers have different strengths (latency, tone, SDK compatibility). Listing a few options lets you pick based on your actual needs and existing code (e.g. whether you're already using the OpenAI SDK) — it's rarely a single right answer.
